MiVoice Business Redundant Servers
« on: May 06, 2018, 08:59:12 AM »
Hi Experts,

I am doing very first installation of Mitel (after a long lost training 2 years back).... I have redundant MXe III Controllers and i have configured SDS and IP/XNET between them... I tried a failover to secondary server, all the phones got registered to secondary controller but still i was unable to make any call between internal extensions. What am I missing?

What do you hear and what does it say on your display when the call fails?

In maintenance on the resilient controller, enter "locate number <number you are dialing>"
You should be able to dial any prime line that is resilient to the same controller.
Non-primes, hunt groups and ARS may not have copied over properly in the SDS.

I have analog extensions divided on both controllers and i can see extensions on Remote Direcetory Number forms in both controllers. Extensions on both controllers can call each other. My ISDN PRI trunk is connected to primary controller.. All extensions homed at primary controller can dial out but extensions homed at secondary contorller cannot dial out...

ARS and ISDN trunk group is configured only on primary controller and they are not shared with secondary controller.... on secondary controller, i have only one entry in ARS for CEID of primary controller,

what am i missing to allow extensions on secondary controller to call out using ISDN trunk on priamry?

I guess your routing on your secondary controller needs to be looked at.
Assuming you have correct digits dialled pointing at the primary from the secondary, perhaps the digit mod on the route is removing the leading "0" so that the primary controller doesn't route the call to the external trunk?

ARS Digits Dialed form on secondary controller is having only 1 entry which is CEID digits for primary controller and it is using Digit Modification Table 805 which does not remove anything and use a route which is direct ip route to primary server.

So that will work for internal extensions.
You need more routes for all other numbers people might dial.

Yes, but you don't want digit mod 805 on it, you need a digit mod that absorbs nothing on all of them.

Thanks let me try... BTW, Digit Modificaiton 805 that i am using for CEID also does not absorb any digits.
