Message wait key calls HCI reroute group

I have a vMCD version 8.0 SP2 14.0.2.26 with a NuPoint version 19.0.0.25.

Integration is working. I can leave a user a message and it lights the light. However, when I go off hook and press the flashing envelope key, the call rings to the HCI reroute hunt group. I think i've seen this before and was a simple configuration error, but for the life of me i can't remember what the problem was.

If I reroute the HCI hunt group always to voice mail, pressing the key will then take the user to their mailbox, but I don't think that is the correct resolution!

i think you have to configure the voice coverage\voicemail tab with your voicemail hunt group i.e. 3000 if 3000 is your hunt group for voicemail

I did have the voice mail hunt group programmed in the call coverage form

Anything else I nee to look at or is rerouting the HCI hunt group to voice mail the right way to set this up?

is your HCI reroute MWI in Nupoints configured properly? we use the loc code + 40... there is not too many thing to be configured.
but there is also another thing that you may look at that is not mentioned, check the features for that extension. That message waiting light may also be a Call back message light. Perhaps that feature is active and not being looked at

What you have done is correct.
The HCI Group leaves the MWI but when you call it back it needs to go to the VM Hunt Group.

Karptemo: I did end up just rerouting the HCI reroute group to the pilot number of the Voice Mail hunt group and this does work correctly
