Problem accessing meet-me conference over SIP trunk

I programmed the meet-me conference (I think correctly by the book), from internal extensions it works fine, but when calling from e.g. mobile to access the conference over SIP trunk I cannot join it. I hear the tone but when entering the conference number and the conference PIN the input seems not accepted. The SIP trunk is configured in SIP peer profile to use MBG as SIP proxy, I have enabled the Allow Out Subscriptions for Remote Digit Monitoring (set to Yes) and Request Outbound Proxy to Handle Out Subscriptions (set to Yes) options in SIP Peer profile. I also configured the KPML (username and password) in the SIP peer profile and in MBG.

Any ideas what could be wrong?

Does your provider specifically support KPML?
In your SIP setup, you should see the supported DTMF options - use it without KPML; perhaps try a trace to see what you get in the RTP

Thank you for your reply. I cleared settings for KPML on MBG (KPML username and KPML password in System Configration -> Settings -> SIP Options) as well as in SIP Peer Profile on ICP3300 (the Subscription User Name and Password). Then on MBG sniffed the incoming call to the conference bridge. In the sniffed packets I could see INFO SIP requests received and forwarded to ICP3300 by the MBG. E.g. following message was received and forwarded when I pressed 4 key on my mobile:

A Mitel MiVoice Border Gateway (MBG) is required to allow SIP calls over IP trunks to participate in Meet-Me Conferences. The MBG collects the MMC bridge and PIN digits from the user and relays them to the MMC host switch. To do this, the MiVoice Business gateway must have the following SIP Peer Profile (Key Press Event tab) options set to Yes:
