5360 Register
« on: March 02, 2016, 08:11:23 AM »
Hello,
I can register a new 5312 handset without any issue and they use vlan4 with pvid4 set in the POE router.  When I connect a new 5360 handset to the same connection it just get stuck on a DHCP request.  I have checked and there is no limit on power for that port and I can register a new 5312 on the same connection.
Is there anything specific to these 5360 handsets?
any pointer gratefully received.

John,

Manually set the VLAN ID on the 5360 and see if that works.

Thanks,

Forgot to add, if I plug in a pc into this port then it obtains the correct dhcp IP address and information.
I can then ping both the mitel unit, the original DHCP server, the gateway and firewall so connectivity is not the issue.
Can anyone tell me if this is a firmware issue?
We use Mitel 5000 CP on version 5.1.20 and the 5360 handset is on version 4.01.01.05

I have tried to set the following without resolving my issue, one at a time and all together

Controller IP - 192.168.0.10
TFTP server 192.168.0.10
VLAN ID = 4
L2 PRIORITY = 6
DSCP = 46

John,

Have you waited for it to recycle through and do an automatic reboot and try again?

Thanks,

TE
