Call Fowarding Question
« on: March 03, 2016, 12:47:40 PM »
I'm not sure what the difference between the Call Forwarding setup and the Dynamic Extension is.

I am trying to find an easy way for user to enter in their cell number when they need to.
I tried the Call forwarding option, but it formats my cell as xxx-xxxx-xxx and will not fwd to my cell.

I have to put in a leading 1 in dynamic forwarding to fwd properly, but then it only rings my cell once then goes to voice mail.
I'm thinking for the dynamic ext I have the Step Timer set too low (12)

Can someone help with what I'm doing incorrectly or if the dynamic ext is the way to go?

OK, I found a programmable button for "Fwd All"

I can put in my voicemail number and it routes all calls to voice mail = easy!
I am unable to enter in a cell phone.  It keeps telling me invalid dest.
How can I use this with a cell number?

Phones are 5320 & 5330

To forward to a cell using a forward key. first press the fwd all key, then when it says enter extension input 8, which is usually used for an outgoing call, then enter the your cell number and the station will forward any calls. This means when someone calls your extension it will forward to the cell phone.
