Dial Msg retrieval from AA

Is there any way of this being done? I keep getting invalid number and i have created an extension ID.....

Why do you want to dial it remotely? Just use * for Subscriber Access.

Looks like you're asking "While in an Auto Attendant can I dial message retrieval?"  Yes you can, but look at the digit translation for your A/A.  By default retrieval comes up as 2501...bet your digit translation shows 2 as INVALID instead of COLLECTED DIGITS?

I meant from an actual AA Application, not CRA. It's for something we're developing......

In 20 years of working on this product I've never used the canned AUTO ATTENDANT option.  There's not much within it that can be programmed.  You can't even program digit translation (where calls go if you press a button), and that's usually important.  A CALL ROUTING APP can do everything A/A does, plus everything's programmable.

I'm with Dwayneg on this one. I have only used the Auto Attendant Recall once in 20 years, but never the Auto Attendant as it isn't flexible enough to be useful.

It wasn't my idea in the first place. It was one of our devs (who is pretty clued up with the 5000!) who was asking, i thought it was a strange request also......
