5320e phone - message button transfers to another user
« on: April 09, 2015, 04:39:58 PM »
we are using the Mitel 5000CP system.  we have a 5320e ip gigabit phone.  any time this user presses the 'message (voicemail) button' it tries to transfer the call to someone else.  is this a setting on the phone itself or a system setting.  if it's system please tell me how I can change this?

I suspect that if the far end answers the call the light will go out.

So I just reset the phone by holding * & 6 and the issue is gone.  I guess it was some setting on this individual phone.

If someone calls an extension and presses the MSG key before hanging up, it will light the far end lamp.

When lit, pressing MSG, should show name of extension that activated lamp.
When lit, pressing MSG then #, should call extension that activated lamp.
When lit, pressing MSG then *, should turn off light.

Most common issue reported: "My lamp is lit, but I have no new VM msgs."
