Dynamic Extension
« on: November 18, 2009, 10:45:59 AM »
Is Dynamic Extension just an external hotdesk user (say your mobile phone) that is programmed in a personal ring group, or is it a seperate solution?

'Dynamic Extension' is just a Mitel marketing term that relates to a group of features available in MCD 4.0 which includes external hotdesking & personal ring groups.

I thought so, I thought it was strange that there is a p/n for it. It includes two external hot desk users and user licenses, I think.

Have you used it? I have been messing around with it today and was wondering if there is a way to pass CLID from the caller to my cell that is set up as the EHD user.

That depends if you are allowed to do so by your service provider. There is an option in the 3300 to display calling CLI when diverting to an external number but most service providers will not allow this and strip it off and replace it with your sites default CLI.
