Please Wait shows up on 5560 turret LCD
« on: April 10, 2014, 01:09:06 PM »
Has anyone ever had PLEASE WAIT just show up on the LCD of the 5560IPT.   Shows up and then goes away after several seconds.    No SDS errors are anything in logs that show if the phone lost connection.   Comes back up where it left off after several seconds.

I don't work with the 5560, but when I do see that on a 53xx it's because the set is in the middle of a resiliency failover.

Haven't seen that on a 5560, but have on 53XX phones. In our case there was a network loop that was slowing everything down and causing time-out issues between the phones and the controller. Once we isolated and removed the loop, the message went away.

This is generally caused by a network issue.
If you look in the logs you may see some "heartbeat failure" associated with the extension.

If it's only on one phone then check all your cabling.  Could be something simple like a patch cord.
You can try moving the connection to another data drop to eliminate the cable as a possible issue also.

If it's happening on more than one device then  you may need to look a little closer at the network.
