Ports Exceeded - Attendant Console
« on: December 12, 2013, 06:47:30 PM »
Hi,

Was on the phone with a mi-tel tech working on a seperate issue but it resulted in rebooting the voice mail server. This now causes the Attendant Console to prompt "ports exceeded" when attempting to open. It has occured in the past when we have sudden outages and seems to connect just fine after 10-15 minutes, however its not been 3-4 hours and the console is still giving the prompt when opening.

Any suggestions on what we can do?

Thanks,

D

How many APPS do you have connected to the system. You may be execeeding the default allowed System Level 2 OAI connections.

619Tech is probably correct, prior to 5.(something) only 2-3 L2 OAI connections were allowed at the same time, and if one was lost suddenly it could take awhile to release it in the system... You could be patient, upgrade to 5.1 or higher software, or enable UCX Support under the Tools section of the programming software, even if you are not using unified Communicator Express, it opens up the number of L2 OAI connections to around 100.

Thanks for the response. We have one Attendant Console installed but DB Studio was open on another station if that means anything. The Attendant Console was able to open about an hour after my original post so all is good there.

This is OT but since rebooting the voice mail server the front desk is not being able to FWD (Forward is not available) priority voice mails left on the night service mailbox. She advised that she could before.

Suggestions?

figured out the priority message. It was also set to private.
