Having Trouble with Key Appearances
« on: August 26, 2009, 02:36:36 PM »
I'm pretty new at this, so please bear with me. This seems pretty basic and even have other phones doing this same thing but this pair just won't work.
We are using the 3300 ICP. I have set up a 5212 model that needs to see both lines from a 5340 model (via key appearance).

Extension 2502 already exisits as a 5340 model from the install. I set up the 5212 model phone in Multiline IP Set Config as extension 5256. I need to see both lines from extension 2502 on this phone.

I have gone into Multiline Set Key Assignment for the 5256 extension and Labeled key 10 as 2502, Line type is multicall, Button Directory Number is 2502 and Ring Type is Ring.
Key 9 is Labeled 2502A, Line type is Single Line, Button Directory Number is *2502 and Ring Type is Ring.

Calls to both of the 2502 lines do ring. I can pick up one call but only one key lights up on the 5256 extension if another call is coming in.

I have no idea what the problem is here. Let me know if I need to provide any additional information. Thanks in advance!

Delete the keys from the second phone and recreate as a "key system"   This will allow the keys on both phones to light up.

You can also go into multi line set group assignment and change iit from multicall to key system without deleting the appearances.
