Unable to Connect Mitel 8602
« on: September 10, 2013, 07:18:47 PM »
Not sure this is in the correct place, let me know if there is a better forum.

I am having issues connecting my Mitel 8602. I just keep getting the following:

Starting communications subsystem.
Constructing complex inhibitors.
Broadcasting UDP messages to find local IPRC/IPRA.
Querying transitional modules.
Broadcasting UDP messages to find local IPRC/IPRA.
Fabricating real-time scenarios.
Broadcasting UDP messages to find local IPRC/IPRA.
Constructing enemy scenarios.
Broadcasting UDP messages to find local IPRC/IPRA.
Could not establish a connection to Call Processing.
Closing communication channels...
Communication channels closed.

I have checked my device ID/IP and im using ports 5567/5566.

Any suggestions? Coming to a draw here.

Well, shoot. Read the manual and apparently Windows 8 is not compatible :(

Have you tried running it in compatibility mode?

Right click the installation file and choose to check for compatibility issues.  If it is already installed, right click the EXE file and choose to run in compatibility mode.  You could do the same thing and choose to run as the Administrator.

In Windows 7, users must have local admin rights in order to use the USB headset adapter.

Unfortunately this did not work. I did the right click file (already downloaded) and chose Troubleshoot compatibility and that did not work. Tried going to the properties window and enable compatibility mode there and it did not work. Other things attempted: removing Mcaffee entirely(which came on the computer when purchased)/reboot PC/disable windows firewall.
