platronic sav w700 connecto to mitel 5340 phone

Hi all,

is there any special setting need to set while connect platronic wireless headset to mitel 5340?

i just connect the plug to the phone, however when phone ring, i need to pick up the phone and press the wireless headset button to answer the call, i was suppose..i just need to press the headset button to answer the call?

You can put the set into headset mode via a feature access code or by programming a headset button on the phone. The button gives a visual indication that the set is in headset mode which I prefer if you have a free button. When in headset mode you can answer calls without pickup up the handset.

If you want to use the headset to answer calls without having to touch the phone then you will need a lifter, the headset will connect via the standard handset port in the phone. The hand piece will then connect via the Headset Base. Pressing the button on the side of the headset will then lift the hand piece from the phone answering the call. Press again to hangup.

If you program a headset key on the phone you will then have to press your line key to answer and the x to hangup.
