Outside calls ask for extension number
« on: August 02, 2013, 11:39:34 AM »
Hey guys,

I have been just thrown into this Mitel stuff and trying to figure out how to do basics. I am trying to setup a phone, everything seems working but when I call from an outside phone it asks for extension number and when I enter the extension number, then the phone actually rings. I would like to remove that option and have all the phone calls go straight to the phone.

Its a mitel 3300 cx ii controller and 5330e Ip phone.
All help is much appreciated!!!

If you have a PRI you will need to find the DID you are calling on and see if it is a system speedcall that is sending you to the auto attendant or call rerouting. Then you will need to make it ring to a phone from there.

If you have LS trunks, then you need to look in the trunk attributes form for the trunk and change the answer point.

I know this is very broad, but let us know what type of trunks you have and exactly what you would like it to do and we can help out with more specifics if you need.

Also, the help files are actually pretty helpful.
