Caller ID on Non-Prime keys

These is an option in COS:

Select "Yes" to display calling line identification on multicall and keyline appearances of directory numbers for SUPERSET display telephones. Select "No" and no information is displayed.

I would think from what I'm reading here is if you enable this, when a non-prime key rings it will replace the label with the caller ID.


Here's the scenario:
2 5330 sets.
ext 1111 has a the other 2222 as a button on his phone.
Call 2222 and the line rings on 1111 but the label doesn't change.

If the 2 phones are 5340 sets then it does changes but you can't turn it off via COS.

Any ideas on this?

Here's something we just found.
If Float keys are enabled the key line label on the phone changes.
If you disable it the key labels do not change.

Update:
Here's what I've discovered in testing:
If the non-prime key appears on more than one phone then it will show the Prime line Caller ID.
If the non-prime key is programmed as a "Single Line" meaning that it does not appear on any other phone, then the caller ID that is shown on the top line of the phone is the number of the key the user is calling from.

There is a difference when calling across IP trunks.

This isn't changeable however there is a work around.
The work around is to program a phantom phone and add the non-prime buttons of the other phones to it.
This will make the line a "key system" and the caller ID will now work as desired.

To test this out, add your line 2 to any other phone.  Then call someone else to see what your caller ID is.
