Mitel Cordless Headset 50006535
« on: March 31, 2012, 11:33:26 AM »
Here is an email question from a staff member using their new cordless headset.

"We are curious of a setting on our headsets.  I went to pick it up off the holder and the "All" line was ringing, so when I picked up the headset to put it on my ear, it automatically answered the call.  Is that a setting we can change?"

Anyone have a response as to how to avoid answering an incoming call when picking up the cordless headset off the cradle?

Thank you!

Tim

That's how it works.  However, in the Class of Service of your phone you can turn off "Ringing line select".
That way it will only answer the incoming calls on your prime line (your own extension number only).

Programming up a headset key also helps with this as if it is lit you have to press the relevant line key to answer the call. Additionally a lot of our agents weren't aware you can start and end a call by pressing the small silver moon on the headset itself.
