MCD4.2 Browser slow
« on: April 19, 2011, 08:53:51 PM »
Guys,
yesterday the web interface to the 3300MXe has just decided to run extremely slowly and sometimes not load at all. Even getting to the login screen can take nearly 2 mins! and the same applies when trying to access forms 2-3mins if at all. I have asked the network guys to check to ensure there have been no changes. I am using IE8 and have had no problems until yesterday morning. I have also used AVAST in the past with no problems but that is now doing the same.
Has anyone had anything similar?
Thanks
Chris

Do you mean the web interface for AVAST behaves the same as the 3300 web interface (very slow?)  Odd.  Does it work normally from a different computer?

Yes that's right. when using the web interface from either ie8 or avast it is extremely slow. both used to work fine so i'm suspecting something on our network but you never know.
I have tried from 3 different pc's all the same and one of them was a laptop that had not been 'microsoft updated' for some time.
Puzzling.
Just wondered if anyone had had similar, or if there was anything i could look at.
i have a reboot scheduled for tonight so will see how it goes in the morning.

I have had this happen when the 3300 is overloaded and the processor is running at a high %. If you log into the RTC and run the "PS" command I think, you will see the percentage of processor in use.

I will have to check that command because I haven't used it in a while.

Yes I have seen this when many sessions are still connected and also high CPU.
