Upgrade 3300 ICP from Rel 9.0 to MCD4.1

Guys, i have an mitel 3300 icp running on rel 9.0.
Can someone tell me how to upgrade to mcd 4.1 without lossing the configurations and license?

All depends on controller model type and software assurance.

There are several guides on MOL about this very subject. The release notes for 4.X also go over it.

The watered down version is that you have to go to 4.0, do a database type change within the software, and then can go to 4.1.

So when upgarding from 9.0 to MCD4.0 i have to backup and restore the database through the software installer tools ? and repeat these steps when upgrading from 4.0 to 4.1 ?

Yes and no. You use the software tool to go from 9 to 4.0. Then you follow the instructions in help to change the database over to SDS mode. Once thats done, you can use the software tool again to go from 4.0 to 4.1.
