6900 series phones will not register
« on: December 14, 2018, 04:47:04 PM »
I am installing my first 6900 series sets. My phones are connected to MiVoice Office Suite but I can't get the phones to register to Mitel 250....I get 408 message sip registration timeout retry timer.  I called Xarios and they said all looks good must be the network. All phones are on same Layer 2 subnet and I can ping the phones from the Mitel 250.  I turned on the advanced diagnostic of 6930 and got the log file below.    192.168.1.100 phone.....192.168.1.200 Mitel 250....192.168.1.250 Mivoice Office Application Suite

I'm stumped.  Any help appreciated.

Latest software version of Mitel 250 has port 5060 disabled by default.  Check in System -> IP Settings -> Advanced IP Settings

MOAS 5.1.20 should automatically pull the 69xx SIP username and password from the Mitel 250
If not, you can manually do it on the MOAS by going to Site Settings -> Phone System -> (name assigned to Mitel 250) -> edit a 69xx extension and make the SIP username and password the same you made it on the 250

That was the fix.  I appreciate it.  I had a port scan tool and could see it was closed so I enabled like you said.....however I forgot to reboot 250 after I enabled it...port didn't open until 250 rebooted.  Thanks for the help
