CO Line order used for outbound in 5000 HX v.5
« on: August 08, 2018, 03:01:39 PM »
I can't seem to find an answer either in the programming guide or in the forum.

What is the order of the Loop Start CO lines used for outbound calls and can it be changed? We are also adding an LSM-4 module and I'd like to know and maybe change the order that the 500 chooses CO lines for outbound calls.

For instance, I'd like to have the outbound order be the reverse of the carrier's hunt group order.

I found the answer finally in the manual:

Linear trunk group: Requests for an outgoing trunk are always processed beginning with the highest numbered trunk circuit on the list and move through the list until an available trunk is found.

Giacomo,

Yes, it will always put them in the trunk list from lowest extension ID to highest extension ID. So if you want them to move in a particular pattern other than Ascending through the carrier you will need to create your extension IDs in the order you want them on the actual trunks; if that makes sense.

Thanks,

TE
