Email Sync deleting read items

Hi Everyone,

I just want to preface with I'm new here, so let me know if I do anything wrong.

My question is in regards to email synchronization. The Mitel 5000 deletes any voicemail emails that are just read, but left in the inbox.

My boss had an issue this past week where he received a voicemail after hours, to which he got a notification on his phone and read it there. When he got in the next day, the message was deleted from his inbox. I've tested this a few times myself, and the same held true for me. I made sure the email was read, but did not delete it. I can forward it to myself, and it won't be deleted (I assume the email sync goes by the sending email).  Is there any way to make sure an email will stay in the inbox after it is read?
