CCS Trace T1 Trunk
« on: January 04, 2018, 07:54:15 AM »
Dear All

We've three systems(pbx).they're mxe iii (2 units)and the other mxe.It's each of them release (8.0 PR3, 6.0.SP3 and 4.1 SP1)
In all of them we installed T1 trunk. We don't expert yet to set it.

Is there a way to set the caller id as a extension name/number,also no appear"ccs tracer enable continuos"

Any help is most appreciated.

Rgds

I don't really understand what you are saying here... You installed T-1 trunks and not ISDN PRI? If so, most T-1's don't support Caller ID at all (although you might be able to get ANI), and they do not support Caller ID Name at all.

Are these from a carrier, or are you using them to connect the PBX's together in a Q.SIG network?

Thank a lot for your explain

Yes I installed T1-trunk and not ISDN PRI.

Yes I am using them to connect the PBX's together in a Q-SIG.

So T1 trunk don,t support caller right

Q.SIG supports name delivery, although I do not know if Mitel supports that extension of the Q.SIG protocol (ECMA-164/QSIG-NA supplemental services). I can't say that I have used T-1 networking in over 20 years, not since IP networking made things so easy.

It has been years since I have tried troubleshooting traditional T-1 circuits... but I would suggest looking into the "EDT" commands, I am not sure the exact format that would be needed to see that information but in a PRI it is "EDT TRACE TSP L2L3 <PLID>" of the circuit. Maybe that will get you a little farther along.

I would highly recommend looking at doing IP Networking if possible though.

So you're networking the 3300's over T1 circuits? Why are you using Q.SIG and not just setting them up as MSDN links? That will give you the full feature set.

Q-SIG support name delivery is ok,event support number too, this's in E1 trunk. The connection not mitel to mitel, the connection between mitel any device (Cisco router).

I've applied your suggest about"EDT TRACE TSP L2L3...but it's said "not support".
As far as I know both in the"digital link descriptor and circuit descriptor number, that there's no words q-sig should I choice.

I'll be grateful if anyone can solve this problem.
