Working phone now constantly resetting...
« on: November 07, 2017, 07:47:44 AM »
Hello everyone... quick question.  I had a MITEL 5212 that was set up for use but I needed to alter the extension.  I had recently learned how to set up a new phone so I reset this particular phone back to factory defaults... I removed it from the server using the System Administration Tool for one of our locations.  When I rebuilt the phone settings and added it back to the server (with a new extension) it never gets to the "Use Superkey to send PIN" but it resets over and over... (Phone resetting...)

I'm new at this so I may have just made a mistake...

Any ideas?

Thanks...

Bill

This sounds like a DHCP issue since you factory reset it... Can you tell us what the display shows as it goes through it's process, particularly right before it reboots?

It is possible you need to manually assign the a VLAN, have an incorrectly configured port or switch, or you need to place the phone in teleworker mode as well...

As it turns out I had the Subnet Mask improperly set.  With the correct settings, it works fine now.  It was a newbie blunder.

Thanks for the response though...
