Failed Key configuration
« on: September 21, 2017, 03:57:05 PM »
I just wiped a users keys, and did an in place phone swap with our replacement feature code.  When I added the keys I wanted back in Im getting the following error. "key is associated with one or more users. Delete the corresponding telephone directories to remove the users association".  I also tried to copy the keys from another user who has the same set up but it will not work as well.  Getting "design the line explicitly before reassigning it.

Be sure the key is blank, save it and then try again.

I tried that Ralph, I can't even "clear all keys", then save.  I get the same error and the subject key will not clear.  Is there a phone programming issue that would cause this, device type

The error message is saying to look at the telephone directory.

It sounds like you need to delete the telephone directory entry first.

Also if it's a MWI key there can't be any active Messages (MWI Lamps) on it.

I remember trying to delete the directory entry for the mailbox, then trying to clear the MWI key from the users extension and it not working.  Perhaps I missed something because now it's working.  Was able to delete the key once the mailbox directory entry was gone.  Problem now is I cannot add the mailbox back into the directory.
