Call Reroute DID to different NuPoint IVR
« on: May 04, 2017, 03:58:36 PM »
Hello Fellow Mitel Techs,
Was hoping someone on here has been through this. Here is what's going on:
We got a customer on an MCD that also has NuPoint. They currently have a DID that rings to a "Trusted Extension" programmed as a key on the phone. If unanswered it goes to VM. They also have a button on the phone to force the calls to go directly to the IVR. And as you know based on the time of day the NuPoint IVR will play either the day or night greeting.

BUT.....They are wanting another button that will force calls to go directly to a different IVR (Call it the "Day 2" IVR). I thought should be easy just program a "Call Fwd Follow Me Third Party" key to a "Trusted Extension" that leads to the other IVR. But nope, it still hangs on to the originating extension digits and goes to the main IVR.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
-Iron

Just in case you were curious how I tried to configure it:

Main DID routes to 8001

Main Phone Ext: 8000
Voice Mail Pilot: 7000
Main IVR: 8001
Alt "Day 2" IVR: 8002 (Set to Call Reroute to 7000 in all modes)

Feature Access Codes:
Call Forwarding - Follow Me - Third Party: *536
Cancel Call Forwarding Follow Me - Third Party: *557

Ext: 8000 Buttons
8001 (Mulitcall - Set to Ring - Call Reroutes to 7000)
Day Mode: (User Speedcall) *557, 8001
Day Alt Mode: (User Speedcall) *536, 8001, 8002
Ring to VM: (User Speedcall) *536, 8001, 7000

Thanks,
-Iron

Could you use an Override in the main Nupoint AA? They forward all the calls to the AA 8001, then have Override be one of the first checks in the Call Director flow, if it is off continue as normal, if it is on send it the AA 8002.

Requires 2 steps, turn on the forwarding on the phone, then log into MB 8001 and turn on the override, but it should work.

**UPDATE**
Found a way using "Hunt Group - Name Tagging" to make it work!

Thanks,

I think name tagging or going through and ACD path are your only options. Nice to see that name tag is resilient now
