Reset Voicmail Password
« on: October 26, 2016, 12:28:58 PM »
User forgot the vmail password to retrieve messages.
Can anyone advise how this can be reset? I was perusing the Web Interface for the user and extension but the only password I see is the login password which I selected "clear password". I was assuming this would prompt the user to enter a new password, etc. but it's still just prompting her for a password.
Thanks!

Voice mail passwords are changed via the admin mailbox or database programming.

If you have database programming, go to VOICE PROCESSOR/DEVICES/<mbox numberr>, right-click in PASSWORD area.

Or if you know the vmail admin mailbox and password (where you'd go to record system greetings) you can change his pass by phone.  Just log into the admin mbox (you're in the right place if it tells you how full the HDD is).  Press 9 for admin options, 2 for mbox and group list maintenance, then enter mbox number. Once in, 3choice  changes password.

eia,
Additionally if you have access to the "MiVoice Office 250 Admin and Diagnostics" program you could also change it from that. To do so, simply go to, "Voice Processor", "Devices", "Mailboxes", "<Select your mailbox>", then right click on the "Passcode in question". You'll be given a window to edit the passcode, click on it and you'll be given another window to change the passcode. See below for screen shots.

Thanks,
-Iron
