Mitel 5000/Inter-tel...inherited
« on: April 04, 2016, 01:54:47 PM »
First I inherited a customer with this system; I did my training on the ICP when we used the hyper terminal to program it;but never encountered the 5000 until I ran into this customer
who does not remember who installed the system.
So my question is first off is there a proprietary software used to program this system and how can I acquire it?
Password:  is there a way to find this without defaulting the system?
SIP Trunking: is the system able to accept SIP trunks?
Incidentally I have done Inter-Tel GLX, GMX 48 & 52 systems back in the day.

Help anyone?

Mitel has a backdoor that they can typically enable but at a cost... something like $500 one time

Mitel isn't going to give you the time of day unless you're a dealer and certified technician.

Is there a way to disable off hook voice ring on an extension, this customer complain that when he is on a call using a speakerphone
an incoming call rings the phone which is distracting?

Could set up CALL FORWARD/BUSY to voice mail or wherever he wants call to go.  Best way is to falg that option within the System Forwarding path for that station.  Or you could do a manual forward at the phone: dial 358 for CALL FORWARD NO ANSWER/BUSY, then vmail extension.
