200ICP v4 to v5
« on: February 09, 2016, 02:47:28 PM »
Is a new license key required, or can I simply upgrade from 4.0 UR1 to 5.0 UR5 and walk away or will I need to take over the AMC app record?

I have a customer that we do not own the AMC record for, and they want to replace 7 of their old 4025's for new 5340e sets...

If I recall this should be just an upgrade without any license. I think this was always the way the 200 worked.

Hmm... I'll have to take one we have in AMC and set it as v4, pull the license sheet, then set it v5, pull the license, and compare. I can't remember if it changes, or even matters once it's licensed.

EDIT: The MOC code and Options Password do not change, so I guess I am good to go.

If you change nothing, it stays the same across levels. You only get a new moc password for feature changes.
