MOH not working

I have a client that when the MOH device is plugged into the HX controller MOH port music does not play while on hold. I have checked at the trunk level that CP 5000 is selected as the MOH. I went to a phone and used the feature code 313 and no music came out of the phone.  I purchased an audio cord and plugged it into the 5000 and plugged the other end into my phone and turned music on. I went to a phone yet again and tried 313 feature code and no music played. I determined that the MOH port must be bad on the processor module. I switched out the processor module and did all the things mentioned above with the same result of no music on hold. I am looking for ideas on what else to try?

Make sure the 1/8" phone plug going into the chassis is mono, not stereo.

The MOH device has a mono jack. I turned up the sound on MOH device and it still didn't work. The audio cable I bought is stereo, but we have used headphone cords in the past,which are stereo and have worked. The cable I bought did work in an old axxess system for MOH.

Have you put your buttset on the output of the audio cable before it goes into the chassis to make sure that you have audio going into the system?
