Mitel 5000 - simultaneous ring question
« on: June 26, 2015, 01:59:16 PM »
Hello,

I’m trying to understand how my Mitel 5000 system rings both users (6467 and 6545) simultaneously.  I know how hunt groups work but this seems different.  It's hard to explain so I have put it into a word doc with pictures.

In the hunt group these extns must be configured as a List of some kind, either Phone or Hunt Group Member.

Double click the hunt group, double click members, you should see a list in there rather than individual members.

We do have hunt groups and them seem pretty straight forward.  However I cannot find any hunt group that points to both of these users.  I've checked many places but I'm still stumped.  There is also nothing relevant in their 'Devices and Feature Codes > Phone' settings either.

Two thoughts:

Is there a Secondary Call key on the second phone, showing the first phone.

Is there DEE set up on the first phone, linking it to the second phone?

Nrgymover,

Look under each phones programmable keys and look for a Secondary extension. Also look at their key maps.

Thanks,

TE

Thanks all for your help.  I found my solution.  The setting is actually under 5000 CP > Users > %name% > Dynamic Extension Express
