Change of protocol to TCP
« on: April 17, 2015, 06:00:58 PM »
I am trying to connect the 3300 - MBG and carrier with TCP protocol. I see option to change the protocol in "Network Element". This really didn't help me change the protocol. Is there any other places we need to check for changing into TCP?

Also in MBG, it says TCP is off, UDP is ON. But don't see a place to enable TCP.

Not sure if it will help, but UCA uses sip tcp. Maybe enabling it might do something

Hi johnp,

I don't see an option to enable UCA in MBG or in 3300. could you please help me with that? I can see it say's TCP is disabled in MBG, could not find the place to enable this. Please see the screenshot from MGB which shows that sip-TCP is set to false and sip-UDP is set to true. Right now UDP is working fine. Issue is setting up the TCP.

That gets turned on when you enable the UCA connector

Could you please navigate to where we need to enable UCA in MGB and/or Mitel 3300? If there is any external software i need to install to enable this, let me know?

This change helped in changing the protocol in MBG. Mitel 3300 is still sending UDP. I have made all the changes in Network elements that i can do to change the protocol but no luck. Is there any other place that we can change to make this work?

Likely not, I would have thought changing the MCD would be the easiest part. Did you try and created a new network element with TCP values, then assigning everything uder the old one to it?
