Mitel 3300 RAD greeting issue
« on: October 23, 2014, 10:35:39 AM »
Hi,

we have a public facing number that when called kicks into a RAD greeting announcement. The system is a Mitel 3300 on a ISDN30 line. Reports have been made by callers that the announcement loops a couple of times and then drops the call completely? Also that there is a message sometimes that says about purchasing he tape!? i can only assume that may be the audio that plays between messages? Does anyone have an idea of the cause? Is it call volume? could a certain amount of calls be coming through and are in the queue as all lines are busy? potentially have 10 phones that will pick up from this one number but if they are all busy how many can the system hold before dropping callers? Or would this not be the cause? I've no idea what will trigger the purchase tape bit either? I believe it played some royalty free classical music between the RAD greetings.

Odds are good that you have a port in your RAD group that doesn't belong there or has the wrong COS and greeting.
Dial each of the ports individually in your RAD hunt group to see what you get.
