Teleworker IP Change

Hi All,

need some advise;

system is: Mitel Communications Director
Release: 4.2
Active Software load: 10.2.0.26.2
PLATFORM: CXi-II  512Mb

Phone model: 5320

Issue: there were 3 phone setup as Teleworker, external IP for switch has now changed due to relocation. Internal IP is same, Teleworker phones are not working, need to know where do we need to change the IP (detailed process if possible as not an active system user) also for phones.
Currently only have access to WEBPORTAL (dont have MITEL DB Programming installed - is there anywhere i can download this as dont have Mitel logins)

Have  you a Mitel Border gateway in use or are you using a VPN? Normally teleworker will use MBG and its this address that is entered into the phone.

On the Teleworker phone reboot and hold down the '7' key.
This will get into the menu to change to IP address for Teleworker, just follow prompts.

Hi XMAN, yep there is Border Gateway, so phone have external IP configured on them there is no VPN. how would we go about changing IP on Switch.

Sarond, thanks for phone instruction, just need switch side so can change external IP, Hopefully XMAN will advise on that., thanks

This will also depend on whether the MBG is in gateway mode or DMZ.
You can change settings on MBG by SSHing in as the admin user and you will get a text gui.
Option 2 will step you through changing the external IP, just press next on anything that doesn't need changing.

If in DMZ mode then you will need to change some things on your router most likely.
