CXi
« on: July 01, 2014, 06:51:23 PM »
With the rehash of cheap switches, just wondered if anyone installs the CXi? Myself I don't, most customers on the small end have a gateway device and I for sure don't like having the one point of failure.

Haven't done a CXI in a long time... and because of the single point of failure, all but one we have installed has abandoned the embedded switch.

5 years since we installed one. Data company we work with hates them and so do we. And they are expensive for a layer 2 switch.

Before we went with an Mxe II we had one in our office for years. Never an issue. The install of the APC can be a little clunky as I recall, but it runs a long, long time.
