First, you need to upgrade to 5.1 SP2 or higher, softphones are not supported in UCA 6.0 without that minimum revision.

If you plan on using the softphones outside of your network, I would recommend using MAS base with UCC users and licensing UCA and MBG in the same box, then running in Server-Gateway mode, it just makes things easier unless you have a specific requirement to run separate servers or in DMZ/Server-only mode. Remember that NAT is NOT supported in any way, so if you are going to run in DMZ, it needs to be a true DMZ to the MAS server.

This is not an easy install.

I recommend getting a professional to do this for you.

More than one way to do this.

By an approved server off the qualified hardware list (attached)
You will need a Mitel application server (MAS) with MBG licenese and UCA licenese.
You will need another 3300 user licence MBG license, UCA licence PER USER

They are also other licence groups you can buy instead of buying then separably, UCC entry, standard and premium.

There are several UCA licenses, Make sure you get at least the Mobile SIP phone and handoff.

As i say you need a PRO to do this for you, I can't type out all the things would need to do here in the forum.

Hope this helps

The smartphone licensing will be on the MAS along with the MCD.

The UCA SIP softphone will need a "user" license on the controller.

Unfortunatley, again, you can get this license in many ways

UCC license
Multi device license

But basically it will need a user on the 3300, as well as the uca / mas licenses

Hi All,

thank you for your support, which helped me to build our system.

still i have some points that are not clear and need your assistance before i order the system

Our existing system is Mitel CXi controller (MCD 4.0 SP2) with 16 IP User & Device Licenses.

We need the users to use their extensions on the Android / IPhone Mobiles over the Internet.

We have generated a BoQ from SWB and we need to verify the BoQ with you.

Please check the following BoQ is correct for the complete system of UCA and advise if there are any changes to be done.

A) MiCollab Client (UC Advanced) R6.0 part of Quote:

Part                                               Description                       Qty
User Licenses
54005599   MiCb MobileClient Licnse-SmartDevice x50   1

MiCollab Client
54005404   MiCollab Client Software                                   1

Software Assurance and Support
54005200   Stnd S/W Assurance MiCollab ClientBase     1

B) MiVoice Border Gateway (MBG) part of Quote:

Part                          Description                                      Qty
MiVoice Border Gateway
54004571   MiVoice Border Gateway Base                        1

54004575   MBG Teleworker Service Users x50                1

54004582   MBG License - 5-session Compression        1

54005218   Stnd S/W Assur MBG Teleworker User        50

54005220   Standard S/W Assurance MBG Base                1

1) What licenses will be required for the Controller?

2) We have User License (Part# 54000291) & Device licenses (Part# 54000294) in our AMC account.

3) We can assign these licenses to our Application Record and then upgrade the Software of the controller to MCD 6.0.

4) We want to install UCA and MBG in one server working in Server Gateway mode. Is it possible?

5) We want you to verify that the above BoQ is correct and what licenses will be required for our existing controller.

waiting for your prompt reply.

Regards
Marwan Nugdalla
