Multiple Time Zone issue with remote sites
« on: March 18, 2014, 12:58:02 PM »
I have a site with phones remotely connected to it from 2 branch offices in different time zones....They have Failover Gateways on their premises though.

The problemset is.....When one of the branch offices closes for the day, the other 2 are still open.
This branch wants to send calls immediately to the Auto Attendant since Reception is gone for the day.

The 2 options I can thnk of:
1) Day/Night mode with tenanting for the 3 locations so they can control their own Day/Night mode
2) 3rd party call forward the Main Number to Voicemail when leaving for the day....I thnk this is the easier method myself

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Are we dealing with two or three time zones here? If two, try using Night 1 to send calls to Branch A's AA while allowing B and C to receive calls and then send all calls to AA in Night 2. Is this what you are wanting to do?

Depends what works best for you. As suggested you can use day and night 1 and night 2. Have the console set night one when they leave and set a schedule to go to night 2 when the other offices close and either set a scheduled event to go back to day when the eastern most office opens ( or have the console set day again ). Being able to set scheduled events depends on your software load. With whatever method you chose you have to keep in mind dial 0 out of VM.

It would be nice to know how the number is coming to the remote branch and how it's handled.
