5320 will not take pin
« on: March 07, 2014, 02:57:00 PM »
Has anyone had an issue with the 5320 not taking the pin when first setting up the phone?  It asks me to enter pin and hold button to send and when I do that it keeps cycling the same message over and over...enter pin and hold button to send.

Please advise.

Check the programming, either the set type doesn't match or there's another MAC address already registered to that DN.

What Lundah said. Try using set replacement code if you are replacing a set.###<DN>. Don't do this if its not a replacement.

It could also be that the phone extension is not programmed as a 5320.   It does the same thing if the wrong set type is programmed.

Usually if a set doesn't take a pin then either the extension you are trying is not programmed or the set type is wrong. Seen lots of times someone makes a mistake and assigns 5220 rather then a 5320.
