Forwarding Hunt Group Calls to the rest of the group
« on: December 03, 2013, 07:12:33 AM »
Hello Guys,

I'm new to working with groups in the Mitel Communication Director and I was wondering if the following is possible:

I've created a Hunt Group, containing 4 numbers, if the Hunt group number gets called and one of the phones ring, but the user is unable to answer the phone, is it possible for the rest of the group to get a delayed ring on their phones.

for normal number I would assign a busy lamp field and add a delayed ring, but it is not possible to create a BLF for the hunt group number.

any help would be very much appriciated!

Cheers!

Rather then putting the sets in a hunt group you could create a hunt group made up of key appearances. Then assign the key appearances to all your phones. That way when the hunt group is called the call rings on one of the key appearances on all sets. If any member is away from their desk the rest of the people have a change to grab the call. Not sure if that would meet your needs.

You may want to look into creating a ring group that has all members in it.
Reroute the hunt group to the ring group on RNA.
Now the hunt group will ring as normal and then if the member doesn't pick up it will ring all phones.

Hi Ralph,

I've created the ring group and tried to figure out how to reroute on RNA.
I found the code for RNA in the feature access codes, but have no idea where to put it.

So I've got the Hunter group number 3887 and the Ring group number 3880

thanks for your reply!

You forward hunt groups via call rerouting forms.
In the Call Rerouting 1st alternative form, pick an empty number (do not use #1) and put "This" in all options and in the destination field put in the ring group number you created.
Then go to the Call Rerouting form, look up your hunt group and put the index number you created in the 1st alternative field.
