Call Flow Question
« on: August 14, 2013, 03:55:13 PM »
I have 4 remote offices that only have 1 secretary.  So instead of just having the main line only ring to her I have setup a ring group.  So the extension for the main line is 5410, I created a ring group 5400.  I added ext 5417 to it and set the overflow point to #5410.

Now it works, if you call 5410 that phone rings for 6 rings, then it rings to 5417 for a set amount of rings.  Now here is where I fail.  If in the ring group I set the overflow point to just 5410 it rings back to the main line.  If I set it to #5410 I get the general message center greeting.  Whereas I want it to go directly to voicemail for 5410.

How can I get that to work properly?  Oh and a side note I am using nupoint.

Thank you for any advice...

He is using nupoint. I don't know what #5410 is? an extension, a hunt group. Either way, likely adding the ring group lead 5400 as an alternate extension in mailbox 5410 will get what he wants

Ah.  In that case change the #5410 to any other number without a * or # and add it into the alternate extension number in the mailbox of 5410.

Thanks for replies.  I got it working.  I tried to duplicate one that was done a long time ago.  So here is what I forgot to do.  Under Hunt Groups I added a Terminal hunt group with type of NameTag.  Then went into call rerouting for it and send them straight to voicemail.

Works now...

Thanks,
