5324 with conference module attached multiple call query
« on: July 04, 2013, 08:54:18 AM »
Hi,

We have a 5324 handset with the conference phone module attachment that allows us to switch the call to the module speaker with better mic etc... I was just wondering how it can receive multiple calls for people dialling into this conference for say a 3-4 way call if at all possible?
Does the person in front of the 5324 have to make all the calls to say have a 3 way conversation call out to party A, park their call, call party B? Does anyone know the correct keys to press to actually have a 3 or more party call? Rather than say a webex session?

Thanks very much in advance for any responses.

Yes the 5324 user needs to originate the calls, as even if there are multi line keys I would say that you wouldn't be able to join them together.

The 5324 has to add all the call into the conference.
How that is done can differ a bit.

1) the 5324 hits the xfer/conf button, calls next party and hits xfer/conf again.
2) The outside party can call the 5324, it rings another button on the phone, the 5324 put the conf on hold and answers the ringing line, put the line back on hold, joins the conf again, hits the xfer/conf key again, dials the remote hold retrieve code+holding line, hits xfer/conf button again.  (take a deep breath and do it all again for additional callers)

If you're going to be doing a lot of this then you really want to buy an AWC.
