How to Default a Mitel 7100 MAP

Does anyone know how to factory default a 7100?

I did not find out how to default the database, but I did get into it by logging in with the root password and using a command I found "passwd admin" posted by Ralph in '09 on a tech tip page.  It would be nice to know how to default the database though.

I believe they have to be sent back to be reset unfortunately.
If you are trying to reset admin and engineer dial up passwords you may be able to get in with the root login where the password may still be at the default ship2shore

Once in there, edit /etc/ppp.secrets (I think) and you can reset admin and engineer dial up passwords there.

I havent done one of these for a while so this info may not be 100% correct.

Once you're logged in as root you can use the "passwd" command to reset other passwords.
