Dialing Satellite phone - 3300
« on: December 11, 2012, 08:41:02 PM »
Hi,
I'm kinda new to the Mitel world so please be gentle :).

I've got a client who recently acquired satellite phones and would like to be able to dial them form his mitel hand sets. The satellite phones have the number pattern 01XX XXX XXX. Usually, they dial 0 then the number. But for these, when they dial 0 then the sat phone number, they get an invalid tone and error.

I'm thinking its something I have to do with COS/COR' or ARS Routes?

How do I go about setting these up?

Thank you.
Steve

It could be a whole collection of things

yes you will need an ARS rule added in "ars digits dialed" and "ars route" and i would recommend limiting the cor groups to only those who need to call these services.

you will also need to check that you phone provider allows calls to these numbers (for example I recall Optus mobiles cant call pivotel satallite phones, or it could just be blocked by call barring)
