Deleting Resilient Extension
« on: January 06, 2025, 01:01:01 PM »
What are the proper steps to delete a resilient idle set extension (IP Device Only)?  I've encountered SDS alerts when I've done this in the past.

The steps that I use are:
1. Ensure user is logged out
2. Remove the secondary element in the primary MCD User and Configuration Services form > Save > wait for synchronization

What I see on the secondary MCD after the save on the primary is the extension with "Hosted on 'primary MCD' and the idle set user associated.  Also, in the User and Services Configuration form, the number has a circular green icon.

Should I simply delete from the secondary?

I need to delete from the primary so that I can re-create as a different service (Hot Desk / Multi-device)

After deleting/setting to none for the secondary from the primary...you should be able to just delete it.

Thanks, that was simple enough.  Not sure what I've done in the past to bring up SDS alerts.  Perhaps I deleted from the secondary.  This round I deleted from the Primary after the initial steps; checking the secondary - it did delete from there as well.

The re-create as a different service sync'd to the secondary correctly as well.

Back on track - thanks again.
