My AX controller failed restoring to CX controller
« on: June 22, 2022, 05:12:40 PM »
My AX controller has failed and I restored to a CX controller.  Most things are OK but I am getting alarms from the 4+12 card that was previously in the AX controller.  I cannot find where to delete this card as it does not show up under hardware module ASU or anywhere for that matter.  I do see analog ports showing up under user advanced analog but I cannot clear them there.  I also see trunks showing up under hardware>trunks>analog>analog trunks but caonot clear those either

I have deactivated and reactivated several times and even cleared the hardware ID.  I even switch the ARID on our test system.  I am not sure licensing is the issue on this one.

it is not by making a clear hardware id that you will solve your problem.
send an email to amc support, they will remove a tag on your ARID because you must surely have licenses associated with your AX that you do not have in the CX

i think its upset because it had config thats tied to a card that doenst exist

long shot but have you tried a fresh backup ( of the CX) and then an immediate restore)

backup restores normally purge data thats not valid ( long shot because you have sort of done that already)

only other think i can think of is export the forms , clear database and import them again manually

The CX controller is/was brand new with a brand new HD.

yes and am i correct in assuming that you have restored the AX backup to it but have some issues.
if so can you create a new cx backup and then restore it

I eventually gave up and just built the CX controller from scratch.  I got a few other issues I can't get figured out but I will make new posts for those.
