Adding more UCC licenses?

So one of our Mitel clients we sold MiVB Express to 2 yrs ago has bought more phones but needs 1 more license.
They originally purchased 54008369 which is for SWA for 5yrs.
We're now 2yrs in so can I just buy 1 * 54008369 for 3yrs and it be added on to make 1 license extra?

I've never bought extra licenses before so not sure how it works.

Yes you can just buy the additional licenses and then add them to the existing UCC ULM ARID. I believe at some point in the future Mitel will require active SWA to add licensing to an existing system, but that hasn't been enacted yet and it sounds like in your case SWA is still active anyway.

When you buy license and SWA active, like user licenses, you just buy the license and not SWA, it won't even let you apply it... It will "true up" when they renew their SWA.

Just an FYI... Mitel is hardly the most expensive in this category of phone licenses... Some Avaya and Cisco licenses make Mitel look cheap!

And many other platforms are moving to a similar license model, Meraki, ZyXEL, even Windows will likely become a service rather than something you own eventually.
