Mitel TA7100 Analog VoiP Converter
« on: June 18, 2019, 06:07:36 PM »
Hey guys,
Hoping someone sees this and can point me in the right direction.
I'm not a Mitel expert but pretty good at figuring things out with some direction...
Anyways, I have a TA7102 that I need to register as a SIP device.
Can anyone provide the steps or help point me in the right direction?
Thanks

-patch laptop to “LAN” port in ATA
-use IE to web browse to 192.168.0.10 and login with “public” and no password

-click the “network” tab, select “VLAN”, under Link, enter “wan” and under ID enter “nnn”, click the + sign, then click apply.
-Click the interfaces tab. Next to “Uplink” change the drop-down menu from wan to wan.nnn. Click apply
-Click Host tab and enter Hostname, "ATA<name>"

-patch the ATA “WAN” port to the LAN switch

-click on the status tab and look under Interfaces Status and record the IP address that appears against the wan link interface.

-Go to "SIP" "Servers" and enter the controller IP address on the first 3 lines under "Default Servers". Click apply
-Go to "SIP" "Registrations" "Endpoint Registrations" and enter the fax extn under Phone/Fax-2. Click Apply.
-Go to "Media" "Codecs" and enable G.711 u-law (x2), disable G729 and T38. Click apply
-Go to "Misc" change Jitter Buffer to fax, and "Behaviour on CED Tone Detection" to "Fax Mode". Click apply
-Go to "Network", "DHCP Server" and disable DHCP on the "LAN" interface
-Go to Management / Access Control, update the password for both User names, press "Check All". Click apply

-Click the "reboot" link on the top right hand side of the screen

-In MiCollab, use your standard non-hotdesk user template for the correct zone to create a new user using the fax extension number as its DN and make it a SIP device.

-patch the fax machine to ATA analog port 2 labelled "fax".

-dial the fax DN to test

For one thing, what are trying to connect this to? It would be the same as a mediatrix type of setup
