5330e IP Electronic Hookswitch
« on: September 30, 2020, 04:47:24 PM »
I’m on a mission to economically eliminate the need for handset lifters from my environment and use Electronic HookSwitch.  Today, using MiVB 9.0sp3; 5330e IP’s; Sennheiser Office Runner Headsets w/ base (and lifter).
Anyone using commercially available headsets with EHS on the 5330e IP? If so what is working well?
I’m hoping that I can use the Mitel Cordless Module paired with my existing Sennheiser Office Runner Headsets and use EHS.  I’d use the existing headset base simply for charging.

Otherwise, I’d have to search for replacement headsets that work well.

Appreciate any information,
Regards

I don't think you will find anything. I'm not sure if the 5300 series operate similar to the old 4000 where a momentary disruption in the headset port connection inidcated answer.  I think the best you can get is phone in headset mode with a release key answer via pressing a key on the phone etc.

Just bite the bullet and buy a 6900 series set and call it done, you'll have less headaches getting the headset to work.
