Deleting voice messages
« on: September 11, 2018, 08:11:49 AM »
Hi,

I inherited a Mitel 3300 system and am fairly new managing it for a small company.  A user is not able to retrieve voice mail from ext 0, which is the operator ext.  I was just wondering if I FTP to the directory /vmail/d/vm/grp/0, can I just delete the files there and not cause any major issues?  I changed the "Message Life" to 1 but that did not delete messages older than 1 day.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why don't you just dial into the mailbox and delete it?
Normally mailbox 0 will have no ext assigned, if you do assign one temporarily you could get in and delete the voicemails.
