dual hotdesk login
« on: October 04, 2017, 11:09:02 AM »
I have a request from a colleague. she wants a button programmed on her phone so that she is in effect logged onto the phone under 2 hotdesk numbers at the same time. is this possible? here is the request

I have the reception desk extension at my desk, can I also add my own extension 6736 to the phone, therefore both 6700 and 6736 can get through to my phone.

You can't have them both logged in on the same device, but you could put a ringing appearance of 6736 on one of the keys for 6700. Then it would follow wherever 6700 logs in.

There may be exceptions to this if you're using an ACD group or have a more complex set up.

I am not aware of anything that would allow 2 hotdesk users to login to one phone at the same time, if that is what you are asking?

If her reception phone is 6700, you could create an additional single line key on that extension with directory number 6736. So calls to 6700 and 6736 would go through to this extension.

If the calls need to go through to multiple phones, use a multicall key instead of single line.
