Assigning licences in AMC error

I have two customers
 - on v7 MCD and v6 MiCollab
 - on v8 MCD and v7.3 MiCollab

On the former I'm trying to assign UCCv3 licences, and on the latter UCCv4 licences, that they have bought.
 
No matter whether I try assigning to the ULM, DLM, MCD or MiCollab, I get this error for both customers:

"...FAILED DUE TO - Assignment Error - This product is missing a required base product component that must be attached to this application record first."

Any idea what is going on here?

Entry or basic ?

Ok, for a start UCC licenses can ONLY be assigned to a ULM period.
Now when you created the ULM, did you create it from the MiVB (MCD) or MiCollab? Out of interest, does your MiCollab ARID have it's base license assigned yet?
